Easter Weekend

“Oh praise the One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead.”

Easter has come and what a nice Easter weekend it was! Been a while since it has been sunny for Easter in Seattle. Usually around this time rain is coming down as little kids find eggs in wet conditions in their cute rain coats. Easter started with Good Friday at church. The picture above is a symbol of Jesus whipping all our sins away as he died on the cross for all our sins so we can be forgiven. Written are all the things each of us in the congregation are carrying this Easter season. A very powerful message for those who are this season facing struggles and fear of the what the future will bring.

Easter morning was church time and that means dressing in my Sunday best again. Evening being in my twenties, I still send Nana an Easter picture of me every year. The service was packed again this year, with new faces coming to see what our church is all about. For Easter dinner was grilled lamb, salad, cheese bread and strawberry pound cake for dessert. The rest of the day we all relaxed with the nice warm sunny day Seattle ended up having!
